At Eden Springs, we're really proud of our Charity Water programme, but even more important is the work that we support. This year, we've been supplying bottled water to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research for a series of events. Now in its 50th year, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the leading UK blood cancer charity. LLR aims to beat blood cancers and invests in research to most benefit those touched by blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, raising some L300 million over the years. Their research funding has vastly improved the survival rate for children with the most common form of leukaemia.
With summer upon us, LLR has organised a series of fundraising events and we have done our part by keeping participants hydrated. Recent events include the Windsor Triathlon and the London Bikeathon, the biggest charity bike ride in the capital. The Bikeathon took place on the hottest day of the year, so the 6,500 participants really needed those drinks! We're keeping the support coming by providing bottled water for a series of walks across the UK organised by the charity, which raised L120,000 through its Forget Me Not walks last year. They're aiming to beat that total this year.
