Supporting our position as the UK market leader we have become the first low carbon water cooler company in the UK to achieve CarbonNeutral® company and product certification, achieved in partnership with the CarbonNeutral Company. Unlike some carbon offsetting programmes it is based upon a comprehensive, carbon-reducing full life cycle assessment – we have worked with Swiss experts Quantis International, an international leader in this field, who have helped us analyse and improve all areas of the business, including transport, production, cooler selection and even office behaviour.

In addition to becoming a low carbon company, remaining greenhouse gas emissions were reduced to net zero through the purchase of carbon credits from clean and renewable technology offset projects. The projects, in regions where it is crucial to limit the global levels of greenhouse gas emissions, include a run-of-river hydro power project in India and a methane capture initiative in China. This means that for every unavoidable tonne of carbon generated in our operations the same amount is prevented from entering the atmosphere through these projects.
